Counselling Sessions

I provide a safe, non judgmental space for clients to talk about their issue or story. Once a therapy goal has been identified, I can help you find appropriate solutions for your situation. I encourage people to draw on their strengths and life experience as a springboard for growth and change. It’s beneficial to book fortnightly appointments, however as everyone has different life circumstances, I can tailor the frequency of sessions to your needs. Most sessions are one hour in length.

Art Therapy Sessions

In an art therapy session, you are given the opportunity to explore and express your thoughts and feelings about an issue using an artistic process, and then reflect on your artwork. For example, you may be given the opportunity to draw or paint your situation, to fashion something out of clay or to create a collage. You don’t need to be good at art to do art therapy. You just need to be willing to have a go. Art therapy isn’t about creating an amazing masterpiece, but focusing on a person’s engagement in a creative process and the insights they glean through their participation. An art therapy session is usually one hour in length.

Art Therapy Group Facilitation

I facilitate groups with an art therapy colleague or a social worker. Groups are capped at 10 participants and consist of weekly sessions for 6-8 weeks. My facilitation fees are $400 for each two hour group session. Art materials are an additional expense at $40 a session. For example, it will cost $440 total for a two hour art therapy session with up to 10 participants and two facilitators.

Workshops and Retreats

I have the capacity to lead an art therapy workshop at your group or organisation’s retreat, or alternatively, lead a half or full day art therapy retreat. Fees will be negotiated depending on the number of participants, types of activities, and other specific needs and requirements.
